Chère Madame Connasse/ Dear Mrs. Fuckwit
First of all, please excuse the length of this answer (you have also been blocked, incidentally speaking). This deserves its own audio. In French, since the French connection is so fucking tenuous:
Here is the English translation, since I am pretty sure Madame Connasse does not speak any French:
'Dear Mrs. Fuckwit,
Oh, well - how may I put it? I also find interesting that such an idiot would lose her time sending such enormous things to a page she hates and which, in return, cordially tells her to go fuck herself.
I usually am entitled to some pretty mighty garbage, but you do have enough vocabulary as to use words like 'hubristic' and 'vortex'. That makes you, by the way, very vulnerable and also more exposed than Uganda's current budget.
But why not you, after all, like so many others? The more, the merrier and you do write, not without some chutzpah, that my French connection is tenuous, as is my legal expertise and that I make you laugh, along with all the rest of the shipper community. Which, to be honest, is as untrue as possible. But it must be such a pain in the ass for you to see that people read me, that people like what I write and that, who knows, all those people (of which there are many), have a better day, in this bizarre environment.
I have already shown you some pictures of myself, including at official events. It was not enough.
I have already shown you my car, my office, my desk and my diplomatic passport. It was not enough.
With just one click you could have checked all the (very transparent) clues I have patiently scattered in my posts, in order for you to find me. Some did. They know perfectly well that you lie and you know it, too.
So, here's the deal, you stupid bitch: your cackle will turn sour when you'll see this very official paper:
This is just one of my law degrees - my Public Law BA at the Paris II University, in June 2001, as you can see by yourself. I have worked so hard and so passionately to get it, that I don't give a flying fuck about the fact that a nobody, and a coward to boot, doubts me. I have nothing to prove, nothing to demonstrate and I owe you nothing. However, sometimes one must set the record straight and I am a very impulsive person, after all.
I shall spare you all the rest, dear Mrs. Fuckwit. There is much more, but I am afraid your self esteem could never bear it. That being said, think twice, the next time you'd try to humiliate someone you do not know. Internet is so wonderfully sketchy that you never know (pinky promise: like never, ever know) to whom you're really talking. People lie very easily in here: I find this ridiculous and useless, in 2024, when one can find more or less everything about anyone. In no time at all, provided one knows exactly how to do it (between you and me, it's not even that complicated).
You and your posse of Pointless Underlings have insulted and intimidated dozens and dozens of people of our community, with an absolutely revolting ferocity. You have been doing it for years, with complete impunity and the strong belief that you were protected by a particularly perverted context, by some obscure agendas and by the indifference of the Two Main Characters. I am here to tell you I am not afraid and also that I couldn't care less about whatever you'd write or think. You will do it again, of course, because I think your obsessive universe is limited to the tiny window of your delusions.
But don't worry, dear Mrs. Fuckwit: until further notice, I shall make mine what a distant descendant of Irish Rebels, marshal of France Mac Mahon, said during the Crimea War - I am here and I am here to stay.
Also, you know: she who laughs last laughs the best.'

RAPTURE
lottie matthews x reader, i cant remember word count but it's under 3k i think lmao sorry i promise you'll enjoy it however long it is. praise kink, jealous jealous jealous lottie <3
my fiiiirst ever nsfw fic omg omg
It was no secret for those who lived at the wellness center that you and Lottie were together. It was obvious in the way you were around each other almost constantly, how you substituted for each other when one of you got sick or simply needed a day of rest from teaching meditation classes and leading group therapy. It was obvious in the way you were always linked, her with a hand resting at your waist or you looping your arm around hers. Even for new arrivals it wasn’t hard to figure out, and most of them left you alone after seeing you together.
There were some, however, who couldn’t take a hint, or simply didn’t want to, like the man who stood in front of you.
Lottie was attempting to run him through the list of activities on his schedule as she did with all the new arrivals. She explained where he would be staying, what each class and activity consisted of, and where he could go to volunteer to help run the honey stand at the next farmer’s market.
It was obvious, however, that the last thing he was doing was listening. His eyes were glued to you as you looked over the information he had provided on his form and logged it all into the computer. You didn’t meet his gaze, but you could feel his eyes never leaving you, and to some degree it made you feel sick.
You noticed he left something blank on the form. You put your hand on Lottie’s shoulder and she paused her explanation of the beehives. “You left your phone number blank,” you said to the man.
“You guys took my phone, I didn’t think you needed my number,” he said, smirking. “Are you trying to get my number to call me when I leave this place?”
You scoffed, shaking your head.
“I wouldn’t mind if you did,” he continued, and you could feel Lottie fuming beside you. “We could go out for a drink sometime, as soon as you let me out of this purple jumpsuit. Unless you’re into that.”
You waited for Lottie to correct him as she did everyone. That it’s heliotrope, it’s not purple. But she never did. Her momentary silence had you turning to her, analyzing her features, and you could see that she was seething.
“You know what, I’ll leave the phone number part blank,” you muttered. “Hope I’ll never need it.”
Lottie slid the man’s schedule across the table to him. “If you find Lisa at the lake, she will explain the rest of your schedule,” she said, her voice level, almost calm. It only confirmed to you how furious she really was, and it made you oddly satisfied.
You almost wanted to laugh at all of it. It was so hard to irritate her, unless someone brought up her time in the wilderness. She could handle anything anyone brought to her, could maneuver every hardship at the wellness center with complete tranquility. But when it came to you, she was a completely different person. Someone could mindlessly brush your shoulder in passing and she would be on top of them, making sure they didn’t do or say anything that would suggest anything but innocence. She was watchful, protective in a sense, and as much as she would try to deny it, jealousy was her greatest fault.
The man receded, watching you as he backed away, and finally turned away to go find Lisa.
“You okay?” you asked, turning to Lottie with a smirk.
“Yes,” she said, a bit too enthusiastically. You could tell the man’s comments had bothered her, and it was only a matter of time before she either went after him or she–
“Can I talk to you in my office for a second?”
There it was. You knew her too well for this to be surprising, but you enjoyed it nonetheless.
You nodded and followed her to her office. Anticipation began to claw at you, you knew this game, she was more obvious than she thought she was.
Lottie shut the door of her office behind the two of you, and just as the lock clicked she was on top of you, shoving you up against the wall, her lips crashing into yours. Her hands snuck just under your shirt, finding your waist, and your skin caught fire at her touch. You could feel how tense she was, as if touching you was the only thing that grounded her.
She moved down to your neck, sucking what was sure to be bruises, nipping at your collarbones. You leaned your head back against the wall, giving her more access. The feeling of her lips on your neck sent shivers down your spine. You knew that anyone who saw you later, saw your neck, would know you were hers, and it only deepened the ache building between your legs.
“You’re mine,” she said, and you nodded, arching into her, wanting more. Lottie pulled her hands away from your waist, taking away all contact but still so close, lips hovering above yours, and you could hear your own heart beating wildly. “Say it.”
You met her gaze, saw the look in her eyes, like a storm, the sky tranquil and perfect until provoked. Fury like lightning but the thunder there always to soothe and subdue it, the land below tormented but beautiful, never neglected by the sky, for they are irrevocably connected.
“Say it,” she urged, and you smirked, leaning back against the wall. Her eyes made obvious her desperation, her desire, and part you wanted to toy with it, see how far she would go to get what she wanted. But you knew she needed it, needed to feel and make sure of the control she always had.
A storm, but you wanted it. You wanted her.
“Yours,” you breathed, leaning in to capture her lips with yours. Wanting more, needing more, for she was everything that mattered.
She moved back down to your neck, nipping at the skin. You wrapped your arms around her, grounding yourself, feeling the tension she was carrying melt away ever so slightly. In the heat of the storm, rain is despair, washed away from the clouds above and leaving them anew in bliss.
Without warning, Lottie slipped her knee between your thighs, and you gasped. The sudden pressure had your hips jerking, and your mind short-circuited, and everything was gone in the world except for her.
She made no effort to conceal her satisfaction at your reaction. A prideful smirk overcame her lips, and she watched you closely, seeming almost fascinated, playing the instrument of your body so perfectly as she had done a hundred times before yet still it was as if she was kissing you for the first time, seeing you for the first time.
“Tell me what you want, baby,” she whispered lowly, one of her hands coming up to rest at the base of your neck, and the slight pressure in her grip had your mind reeling, everything melting away, and all you could focus on was her hands, her words, her leg between yours.
“You,” you pleaded, fumbling with her shirt, and seeing your frustration she pulled it off, tossing it to the floor, and it was all you could do not to moan at the sight of her. “I want you.”
Satisfied, she kissed you again, and you melted into it — she paused only to pull your shirt over your head. She was intoxicating in every way, and you would’ve lived your whole life drunk on her and only her, for she was the sky and the sea and the stars — rapture, and you were witnessing the glory.
Lottie pulled you away from the wall, pushing you onto her desk, lips never leaving yours. She stood between your legs as she unclasped your bra and let it become part of the growing pile of clothes on the floor of her office. She kissed down your chest, hands running up and down your waist before being planted at your hips as she began to kiss your breasts. Leaving marks just because she could, because she was just as drunk on you as you were on her, and every sharp breath you took and every moan that escaped your lips sent her into euphoria.
Her lips around your nipple — rapture, heavy, setting fire to your skin. Your hands tangled in her hair, her eyes meeting yours, and under the lustful pressure of her gaze you could hardly breathe.
“You look so beautiful like this,” she murmured against your skin, and moved to kiss down your sternum. “My pretty girl.”
She pulled at the waistband of your pants, pulling them off of you. Her hands trailed down your thighs, caressing them, watching you as if in awe, wanting to memorize every inch and curve of your body.
“Fuck,” she murmured against your lips, hand slipping down your torso to feel the wetness between your thighs. “So wet for me, such a good girl.” At the sound of the moan that escaped your lips her breath hitched, and you could feel how she wanted this just as much as you did, wanted to hear the noises you made, wanted to elicit them.
She began to circle your clit. At the very same time you felt relief, finally receiving the touch you'd been craving, but after a moment you realized how much more you needed. “Lottie,” you whimpered, grabbing her wrist. “I need, I… please, just…”
You vaguely recognized the prideful smile pulling at her lips before she slipped a finger past your entrance, giving you a moment to adjust before adding another, working them languidly inside of you. You moaned into her mouth as she kissed you, overcome by the sensation of her fingers inside you, her tongue in your mouth, her other hand coming to rest at the base of your neck.
You knew anyone walking by Lottie’s office could hear you. You kept waiting for her to quiet you, to move her hand over your mouth or whisper in your ear that no one should hear, but she didn’t — and if anything it brought you closer to the edge, the prospect that at any moment everyone could know, know that you were hers, just as she wanted.
She scissored her fingers inside you. The heel of her hand pressed against your clit and you gasped, gripping her wrist tighter as she pumped her fingers inside you, sending you into ecstasy.
You clutched at the desk behind you, nails digging into the wood as you tightened around her fingers, burning pleasure shooting through you and making you shudder. It wasn't long before your release hit, and you came undone, your head falling to her shoulder as you rode out your high, white-hot fire burning through you as the coil in your abdomen finally released.
Lottie held you, running her hand up and down your back soothingly as you came down, whispering sweet nothings into your ear — and whispering that you were hers, only hers, and she alone could do this to you, have you over the edge so fast, and on her desk of all places. The sound of her voice grounded you, her words carving into your soul.
As you began to catch your breath you slumped into her, a moment of indulgence, letting her kiss your temple, rub your back. You let her touch bring you back to reality, and in the simple silence you found ecstasy of a different kind.
You raised your head, meeting her eyes for a moment before kissing her gently. The storm had passed, and these touches were of love.
Rapture.
“Yours,” you said against her lips, a small smile pulling at your own. You pulled away, taking her hands. You hadn’t noticed that she had taken her rings off, that they were on the desk beside you. Carefully you began to slip them back onto her fingers, knowing exactly which ring went on each finger, completely in sync with her in every way.
“Just so you know,” you said, grinning, “I would never be attracted to a man in a purple jumpsuit.”
“It’s heliotrope,” she said softly, though she, too, was smiling. “It’s not purple.”
You shook your head, sighing. “Even worse.”
Rapture, and together you witnessed the glory.

you're Gareth's.... WHAT?!?
★ EDDIE MUNSON'S MASTERLIST ★
❣ AGATHA'S MAIN PAGE ❣
summary : Eddie is furious seeing you with someone else after you told him, he's the first ever guy that you became friends with.... surprise at the end! 🤫
warnings : 18+ Eddie Munson x FEM!reader, language, reader and Eddie are both 20, Gareth is 18, use of y/n, Eddie will might be so mean to reader but she doesn't mind it lmao, a very fun mini fic hehe
what to expect : angst at first and fluff at the end 🤭 some comedy parts as well
note to reader : I think I'm just gonna focus more on my mini fics as for now hahaha I really need to finish my degree or else it would finish me 🥲
author note : help- can you imagine Eddie being absolutely an asshole to you for completely misunderstood the situation and you're just like 😂
------------------------------------
"Oh, it's you again" you say as you fixed the music tapes on the table
A mischievous smile is sitting on his face as he says "Aww- you're not happy to see me?"
"I'm working, Eddie" you replied as you directly look on to his eyes
You move over aside to arrange the vinyls alphabetically, he followed you
You shake your head to his mannerisms but a fond smile is now on your face
"Come on, Y/N- can we hang out later?" He begs with that "you can't say no" freaking eyes are now staring at you
You sigh "Alright, fine- Eddie- baby" you tease as you pinch his cheeks
Eddie suddenly felt this hot raging fire on his whole body at that moment
You left him on the aisle, giggling to yourself after you saw him, frozen dead cold on the same spot- he can't move
He always liked you but he never dares to try ruin his first friendship with a girl
You always liked him too- despite his facade persona to scare away bullies, he is one of a kind, heart of gold guy you've ever met
He met you in the same place, the place that you work, the only record store in Hawkins, Indiana
You moved last year and ever since he laid his eyes you- he knew that you're the one
He can't believe that you accepted him as a friend- at first he'll thought you'd be so rude to him because of his appearance and of course he always got his insecurities get the best of him- he thought you're too good for him
Way out of his league
But after he learned about your personality and you've never looked at him in the eyes of judgement and you always speak with so much honesty whenever you talk to him
He felt safe and he can fully trust you
He never expected that you and him will be friends, they way you both clicked- he thought he was just dreaming
Still, it's unbelievable to him that he's the first ever guy that you ever had as a friend
"Dumb pricks" he said to himself
Eddie followed you everywhere you go while you're work- sometimes he is absolutely so insufferable but most of the time? You don't mind it
Maybe being steady or keep calm don't exist on his system whenever you're around
He is always and never did once stayed away from your sleeve
It's so silly but so cute at the same time
When you feel worried, mad, frustrated, sad, he's just right there for you and you'll do the same thing with him
He's just.... the best
You approach him with a sweet smile "Eddie, come on" you reach for his hand, you tug him with you as he automatically intertwined his hold with you
You both went to the backdoor, you gave him a wrapped up present
He furrow his brows at you, instantly observing the thing that you just gave him
"No tricks?" He inspects the entirety of it
"No tricks, this time- Ed's" you winked
He raises his eyebrows at you
"I'm serious, Eddie just open it before I lose it" your excited face falls out of annoyance
He tear the wrapper and he almost fell down as you hold him by his shoulders
"You- what?! Y/N!" He laughs happily as he covers his mouth in shock
"Shh!" You whisper-shout "it just got here yesterday, every employee gets a free vinyl- but instead I'm gonna give this one to you"
You giggled as you watch him completely haywire over the gift that you just give him
"Metallica : Master Of Puppets" Album
"Y/N, sweetheart" he utterly speechless in front of you
"You're welcome!" You smiled widely at him
He hugged you as he breathes on the crook of your neck as he held the back of your head
You melt with it
He whispers to your ear "I adore you so much, Y/N- thank you"
You hummed, he pulled back as he offers his arm to you
You both inhale the pepperoni pizza and root beer float
He gave you the last slice as he finishes his drink
He smirks "Hey, Y/N"
"Yeah?" you reply as you continue to chew
"Close your eyes" he says to you
You squint your eyes at him "Eddie- if this is a joke- I'm gonna get your ass-"
He frowns "I promise- it's not a joke!"
You roll your eyes at him
He grew frustrated "Just. Close. Your. Damn. Eyes"
You swallowed your food "Okay, fine"
You could hear him picking out of his leather jacket
"Give me your hand" he announces
You knit your brows together
"Ah! No peeking!"
You chuckled "Right, okay"
When he puts something on the palm of your hand, it almost felt like a piece of paper
"Now, open your eyes"
It is a piece of paper
You intently watch him
"Take a look" he smirks at you
Oh- gosh- you know that look
You braced yourself
The moment you see "Jim Henson's Labyrinth starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly"
You squealed in excitement as he throws his head back in laughter
You say sorry for the disturb customers but you can't help it
"Movie tickets?" You say with a gleeful smile
You noticed it's two tickets
"You bought two?" You held up the two tickets, your genuine smile still lingers
He starts to become shy and he wishes that his cheeks are not flaming red, but it does
"Uh- I bought two just in case- if- if you want someone else to come with you" he stammers as he can't hold his gaze on you
"Eddie is the only one who can make flustered look adorable" you think to yourself
Your eyes soften, you get up as he watches you go sat right next to him
"My dear Eddie- you know I don't have a lot of friends- you're coming with me!" You tap his nose
He purses his lips as he can't form the words that he wanted to say to you
You lay your head against his shoulder as he gulped- he must keep his compsure being this close to you
"Happy Friendship Anniversary, Ed's"
You already graduated and he's only got one year left to finish, so you're helping him
"So, how's the campaign?" You asked him
You know how passionate he is whenever it's about his love for his favorite game
"Fucking Awesome!" He exclaims as you laugh at his antics
He goes all the way talking about how it happened and about his new friend that he just forgot to mention his name, he just loves that you really do care about his most beloved stuff
Whenever it's about music, film or D&D- you are there present- listening to him
Eddie finished his school works nicely done, without your help- he wouldn't be able to get through this far, he will make that snatching his diploma into a reality
He can feel it, 1986 is definitely his year
He's about to tell you how his day went until he saw someone with you
His heart dropped to his stomach when he continues to watch you
Why is he feeling like this, you're not even his
Why does he feel jealous?
You hugged and kissed the guy on the cheek that he just called his new friend, few days ago
And a new found band member for Corroded Coffin
He is now regretting his decisions, he wished that guy that you're holding right now didn't exist in the first place
He's staring at him like it he was about to disintegrated into ashes
He left as soon as possible he doesn't wanna stay there for too long
You got confused every 3pm- Eddie visits you and you're both get home together when your shift is finished
You two should've been eating dinner by now
Maybe, he's just busy studying for the finals
You haven't seen or heard anything from him ever since he didn't showed up to your usual routine together
Until
"Hey!" You can finally spot him at your favorite ice cream place
When he doesn't receive your energy back at you, your face falls as you walk slowly towards him
Something in the air feels different
He doesn't even acknowledge your presence
Whatever this is, you don't take it by heart
You sat down across from him, you tried to look for his eyes but he keeps avoiding it
You already seen him get mad but... this is more than just being upset over unnecessary stuff
"Eddie? Is there something wrong?" You ask him softly
"Isn't it obvious?" He snaps at you
The moment he finally looks at you, piercing cold glare that he gives you, it shocks you
Still, you won't take this by the heart
"Eddie, you know could tell me anything? What's wrong? What is going on with you? I missed you- you didn't even called me back for days!" You reached for his hand but he moved away
You frown, you still don't understand where this is behavior coming from
"Will you just leave me alone?!?" He spits at you angrily- he stormed off
You're dumbfounded with mouthing hanging open
This is the very first time that he did this to you and you want to know why
You followed him, you reached for his arm but he yank it off
"Eddie- I'm trying to help you! What the hell is wrong with you?!?" You shout at him
He halts his tracks and turns to look back at you
He's shooting daggers at you with his glare as he walked back at you
"I don't fucking know? Maybe you should ask your boyfriend" he retorts
You crossed your arms against your chest- you laugh incredulously "Are you born yesterday? Eddie?! I don't have a boyfriend you know that!"
He scoffs "Sure, yeah, Whatever you say, Y/N- good fucking night" he left with that, leaving you alone in the streets
If things are not serious, Eddie think you're cute with that angry pout that you just did
You almost missed the sentence that he just let it falls between his lips
He's acting like this because he thought you had a boyfriend?
Oh my, my, my.... He is jealous
You went home afterwards after your weird argument with Eddie
You just had a thought that maybe... Eddie encountered your....
"Hey, Gareth" You called at him while he is resting comfortably on the sofa watching cartoons
"Yeah?" He glanced at you while devouring buttered popcorn
"Can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Yes" he got up and he switched off the TV
You remove your sling bag and you pulled your cardigan sleeves up and then heat up the chicken noodle soup that your mom prepared earlier
He sats himself in the front of the table facing you
"Okay, tell me what is it, Y/N?" He asks with a mouthful of popcorn
You rest your palms on the table leaning forward
"You're a new student right?"
"Yeah" he furrows his brows
"and you told me, you already found a new friend"
"Yeah?" He chews slowly
"you also mentioned that he wants you to become their drummer"
"Yeah?" He is so confused
"you're late for dinner few days ago because you told me that you attended an D&D campaign"
"Y-Yeah, what? Where is this leading to?" He pushes away his popcorn bowl
"Your dungeon master might've been..... Eddie Munson?" You duck your head down and slowly raising to see his reaction
"Oh! Yeah! That's right! That's him!" His eyes sparkled immediately, the moment you mentioned his name
Both of them forgot to mention of the names of the people that just they met- too excited for the fun happiness moments to spill
You rubbed your eyes using your index and your thumb finger but a smirk sitting on your face
Gareth notices it and as he says "Wait- isn't that your?-"
"My bestfriend? yeah" you shrug
He finally understands the situation "Don't tell me something happened-"
"It already did" you say with a sigh as you turn off the heat and grabbed a bowl as you pour the delicious soup that is waiting for your taste buds to devour
He laughs "So- wait- you both got into an argument because he thought I was your boyfriend?!"
You nod as you laughed at him as well
"Who's gotta tell him?" He smirks at you and you grin at him as you ruffle his hair
"I'll handle it, just pretend that you didn't know anything" you wink at him as he agrees to this little mischievous plan
You're so amused at this and you're enjoying at the thought of Eddie is absolutely so freaking possessive and jealous with you
Jeff knits his brows together at his friend
"You're been acting weird a lot lately" he says to him
"Piss off, Jeff!" He grumbles
"Woah- there, my bad" he throws his hands up in surrender
Gareth spots the two of them until he gets the chance to tell Jeff why
Both of them shared knowing looks and smirks
Jeff pushes Gareth away as he tries to run off
Eddie came back with a sandwich as he eats it with no energy, staring at the space for hours
Jeff stifled a huge fit of laugh as he watches his friend
He leans over closer to him "You seriously have no idea do you?"
Eddie stopped chewing his food as furrow his brows at his friend
An eat-shiting grin on his face "Maybe try to learn the situation first before assuming" he raises his eyebrows at his friend
He swallowed as he rolls his eyes at him, but he takes his words carefully
"Eddie!" You start banging on his front doorstep on his trailer
He standing still on the closed door as he huffed
"Christ! Eddie- I know you're in there!"
A moment of silence goes on and on
You clicked your tongue "Fine, I'll just go back home with my boyfriend" you turned around to leave
You smile to yourself and it worked- he swing the door open, almost breaking the door for open it wide- he stepped outside
Oh- shit- he is just wearing black sando and gray sweatpants, he looked good
You're only wearing a hanging blouse, denim shorts and a jacket- you hair falls so easily pretty
He never looked at you for days and he missed seeing your beautiful face
You squealed in excitement as you wrapped your arms around him
He wants to hug you so bad but pride get the best of him as he only pats your back unenthusiastically
You scoffed "What's your damage, Eddie?" you pulled back as you rest your hands on your hips
He is now missing your warmth and touch- my god- your scent is addicting
"If you're mad at me just fucking say it to my face!"
He steps forward at you as he takes a deep breath, he looks straight into your eyes
"You lied to me, you told me for the first time we've met- I was the only guy that you ever talked to or even connected genuinely, I know it's only been a year of our friendship but it felt so right and real to me"
Your eyes soften with his words until
"But that fucking guy you're with, the one that I saw- I know you don't deserved to be treated like this but I am pushing you away now before you could hurt me"
You tried to kept your cool as possible but you can't help but feel amused by this....
He really does love you isn't he?
But you want him to pour it all out for you, completely unfiltered
"Am I still your friend or not?" You bite back
"No- I don't think so" he laughs in disbelief
"Then what are we?!" You step closer
You can feel it- he is fighting back but you want him to say it
Do it, Eddie- just fucking do it
You sigh in defeat as you turn your heel around and walk away, he takes your hand
"I want us to be-" he blurted out
You squint your eyes at him "To be what?"
He shakes his head at you as he thinks to rephrase his choice of words
"I love you, Y/N!" He yells it all out the moment he can feel that your hand is slipping off from his grip
You look back his eyes are longing for you
But he frowns after his confession, he ducks his head down- he looks he's about to cry
"I understand- you got yourself a boyfriend and I'm willing to be your just-"
You're taken him aback as you pulled him by his shoulders
You kissed him, his eyes might bulging out of his skull of what you just did
He breathes heavily but finally got taken control of his system as he grabs you by the waist, you gasp as he deepens the kiss
He is the happiest man alive
You smile through the kiss and you throw your arms around him and you can tell by the way he moves his lips onto you, desperate to feel your lips onto his and to taste you
He cuts off the sweet moment as he looks at you directly and watching you closely
You tilt your head at him as finally let out laughter that has been fighting out of your mouth
He is confused but a crooked smile is growing on his lips
"What's so funny?"
You're still laughing as you moved yourself closer to him, you give him one more peck to his lips
Your laughter died down but still you're giggling
He raises both of his brows begging for an answer
"Eddie, my baby" you play with his lavish long brown hair bangs
His hands still rests on your waist, he's watching you lovingly
"Gareth is the one that you're mad at? Right?"
His forehead easily scrunches up at his name as he nod
You pursed your lips as you begin to say
"He's my cousin, Eddie"
You started to laugh again as you take in his expression of hit of moment realization
His hold you on falls as his legs starts to wobble as he takes his seat
He is still wide-eyed as he looks at you
"Are you being serious?"
"Yes, I am, Eddie"
He smirked and still feel a hint of hurt the way you played him in the most infuriating scheme ever
"You got me all feeling dumb, sweetheart, that is one of a hell tricks that you've ever done"
You bowed down at him jokingly "No worries- about the past night- I just wanted to know-"
"To know about what?"
"That you're saying the truth about your feelings" you shyly say
He smiles at you feeling relieved that he belonged to you after all of this time
You crouch down at him and this time he kissed you unexpectedly and you give it back at him
He holds your cheek and runs his thumb over it
"I love you too, Eddie" you say to him
Oh- his eyes shines so bright at the time he heard those words that he's been waiting for his entire life
As much as you want don't want the moment to be over you announced
"I'm gonna be late for work" you stand up as he stands up as well
He tuts as he blocks your way "Ah-Ah! You're not going anywhere" his eyes darkened and your breath gets hitched at the tone of his voice
You chuckled "Eddie! I might get fired!" He tugged your hand on the way into the front door
"Nah- call it a day off- just say that you're sick" as he licks his lips and rolls his eyes as you look at him innocently
"You're not going to get away from this, Y/N after you what you just told me that you love me!"
He says dramatically as you snorted at his actions like he's going to die when you're not with him
The moment he lets go of his grip on you, you ran off and he chases you as you shrieked by the time he carried you away from the behind
He gets inside, ignoring your protests and puts you down on your feet as he kicks the door shut
You both stare at each other, hearts full of love and joy as you both share the same smiles at each other
He happily hugs you as kisses you so slowly and so heartwarming
He flashes you with those doe eyes again
"Stay with me? Please?" He finally says as he kept his eyes on you
"Alright, Ed's- I'll stay with you" you giggle
He cheers in victory as he swooped off your feet as he captures your lips to kiss again

An Introvert And Her Cat
I imported my cat from Australia to China. When I took the job, I told my employers that if I couldn’t get Jonas safely into the country, then I wouldn’t take the job. We go together, Jonas and I. If you look at the header for my blog, you'll see an animated version of the little guy there too. I put him in the header because this is just as much his journey as it is mine.
He is a purebred Siamese and he'll be 7 in January, but before you judge me for buying a cat rather than adopting, I didn’t buy him. I agreed to look after him for a relative for a while and he moved into my house at just eight months old. Obviously, since he's still with me, he never left. He’s a special little guy. He’s tiny and pretty janky. He had all his teeth, except two, removed at the age of three because he was born with bad teeth and developed periodontal disease after about a year and a half of his life. He was the runt of his litter, but he really is very small, even for the runt. And, he’s got a really problematic relationship with food. Even when he moved in with me at just eight months old, he was the fussiest animal I’d ever met. Now that he has no teeth, he’s shocking when it comes to food. And whenever he experiences ANYTHING in life, he stops eating. I call these ‘hunger strikes’. If he’s stressed, he doesn’t eat. Depressed? Good luck. If we move house, he freaks out and won't touch anything. A vet in the United States told me that all of his health issues, his food problems, and his size are probably the result of inbreeding. So, Jonas is a lesson to all: do not get your cats from a breeding house. They were obviously not careful enough with his bloodlines and now my baby has all these problems, and he's the one that suffers, you know?
I had to leave him with my mother when I first came to China. I didn’t have a place to live when I got here so I couldn’t bring him with me when I initially got here. Then, there was all kinds of drama trying to work out when I would be able to go home and pick him up, and in the end, he had to stay with my mum for two months. Apparently, that was too long, and my mum said he got really depressed, like he thought I’d abandoned him. He tried to attach himself to Mum instead, but she kept him at arm’s length because she knew it would be even more traumatic to lose her as well when he finally got here.
He arrived exactly one week ago today and it’s been an up and down week. He was so excited to see me when we got him home but he was still very wary of his surroundings. He didn’t eat anything that first night but by the next day my mum, who brought him to China and was still in the country, managed to get him to eat some KFC. He ate a little bit, but not too much. We tried to move him back to his usual food after that over the course of the week with varying degrees of success. My mum left to go home two days ago and he’s gone back into a cycle of discontent. I did manage to get him to eat a whole piece of KFC last night, but this is definitely not a long term solution.
To everyone reaching out to me on socials with advice on how to prompt him to eat, I’m trying all the things you’re suggesting. I’m hoping he settles down in a couple of days and just goes back to being my baby Jonas. He’s been through so much change, and he’s a very very sensitive little soul so it’s probably just going to take him some time. Jonas not eating is not a new thing, but KFC has always done the trick in the past and it’s just not working it’s magic this time around.
But now that he’s here, he cannot go back to Australia. My country has an import ban on live animals from China. Don’t ask me why. The United States has all the same pet diseases that China does, and I was allowed to import him from the United States into Australia (with a mandatory quarantine), but from China is just a hard no. So we’re either here in China now for the longer term (until he dies), or if we decide we really want to go back to Australia, we’ll move to another country for a year, which will satisfy the Australian Government, and they’ll let him in then. But this is the third country Jonas has lived in and clearly he doesn’t like moving, so I’m hoping that I can pitch up here for the longer term so I don’t have to uproot him again. But, the world is in quite a state right now and you never know what is going to happen in the future, so I’m in the business of saying never say never right now.
Moving a pet around the world is horrendously expensive and when I tell people how much money I’ve spent on Jonas’ travels, they nearly fall over. But he’s my Jonas, you know? I made a promise to him that I would take care of him forever and give him the best life I could, and that means we go together – always. So, if I can’t take Jonas somewhere with me, I just don’t go – end of story.
My house has felt very much like a hotel in the last two months because he hasn't been here, and it’s been so nice to go home and snuggle with him every day this week. I am sure you’ll see Jonas on this blog a lot. I can’t seem to shut up about how much I love him!
Till next time, peace!

It was never your fault {Luis x Reader}
first I wanna say thank you for 70 likes on my last Luis story! 🥹 I genuinely didn't expect that! I hope you guys enjoy this one as well!(even though it's pretty sad).
Also, I was thinking about making a Leon x Reader x Luis story! Lemme know what y'all think!!! 🫶
warnings: angst so much angst, Luis (canon) backstory, a little slow in the beginning(sorry) spoilers for RE2 and RE4, sad story with happy ending :)
////////////
After the events back in Spain, you didn't think you would keep contact with the three amazing people you met. Even though the events that went down over there affected you all mentally, you all were there for each other and kept your heads up.
Leon was pretty busy most days. He's a pretty important person with an important yet dangerous job. He'll occasionally call you from here and there and he'll even stop by for a cup of coffee in the morning.
Ashley was the first to ask for your number when you all arrived to safety. Both of you stood by each other nonstop during Spain, she wasn't gonna let that be the end of it. Constant texts, laughs, dinner dates, and even meeting the president from time to time. You couldn't ask for a better friend.
Then lastly, there was Luis. With nowhere to go, he asked if he could stay with you. You knew Luis was a smart man, and with his degree he could get back up on his feet in no time. Oh boy... he certainly got back up alright. And you helped him... you guys even started dating because of it!
You couldn't ask for a better partner. Luis showers you with love, affection, and the very occasional gifts. He quite literally adored you. Of course you spoiled him too when you could, nothing but a smile on his face everytime you did so. The relationship was literally you two being lovey dovey.
Another thing you appreciated about the relationship was how open you both were with one another. Well, it was mainly just you opening up about things. Your childhood, your work, past relationship, etc. Luis never said anything about himself, he mainly just listened... until today.
"Mi corazon... may I speak with you?" Luis knocked on the bedroom doorframe, a hint of sadness in his voice. You smiled, nodding at him and patting the bed next to you. He sat down, holding your hands as he did so, "Mi amor... I feel guilty about something." Luis frowned.
You tilted your head, "What do you mean, Luis? Go on, I'm all ears." With a gentle squeeze from you, Luis started talking,
"I haven't been completely open about my past. I'm scared that you'll hate me or find me disgusting for what I've done," you frowned at his statement. Why was he talking like that. It was concerning to say the least, "I used to work for a... terrible company."
"Umbrella. That's why Leon was so iffy around you the first time around..." You sighed.
"Yes... sadly. When I was young, my grandfather died in a house fire. He used to write in a journal about me. He always said I was a smart boy. When he died... I fled away from my hometown. I went to school and I got my degree. Umbrella noticed my work and asked me to work for them. I was ecstatic... I thought I would finally be helping people, helping the world." he faintly smiled at his last sentence, soon turning into a scowl,
"I was wrong... So wrong. The things that me and my crew were doing... was monstrous. I created horrible monsters. When I realized how shady the company was... I left. I refused to be apart of something that hurt others... I never wanted to do that, but I did."
Sighing, you moved a piece of hair away from his face, placing it behind his ear, "Luis. You left Umbrella, that's all that matters. You didn't know what you were—" "Mi Vida... that's not all..." "What?"
Luis shook his head, the hair behind his ear covering his face again, "When I left Umbrella, I went back to my hometown. That's when I met Saddler. He also noticed my work and he led me to a lab where I could do research and develop on the plaga. That damn parasite was my doing. I was tricked again, and I was pissed about it. I was working for a damn cult..."
Tears were falling from Luis' eyes, but he dared not show it. He crossed his arms, looking away from you, "So many people died because of me... So many people got hurt... Including you. I can never forgive myself for being apart of these things. Lo siento, mi amor..."
Your heart ached. Luis sounded so broken. You placed a hand on his shoulder only for him to flinch at your touch.
"If you don't want to he with me anymore I completely understand..." Luis sniffles, your heart breaking even more,
"Luis... It was never your fault."
"What...?"
"What you've been through, it wasn't your fault. All you wanted to do was bring good into the world. Just because you were taken advantage of by awful people, that doesn't make you one of them. It's not your fault..." You placed a hand on his cheek, turning his face towards you.
Sob. All Luis could do was sob. He wrapped his arms around you, crying into your chest. All you could do was rub circles along his back and shush him gently.
His sobbing eventually stopped. He laid ontop of you, calm breathing admitting from him.
You quietly whispered to him, "I love you so much, Luis."
"I love you too, mi amor"

someone going christmas shopping on black friday, but getting sick while going shopping but they cant leave bc the deals are too good 🥴 so they suffer through their illness to get deals on christmas presents
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Lucas asked, without looking up from his laptop, squinting at the screen. Bella rolled her eyes, zipping up her top and crawling on the bed, so she could plant a kiss on lips, startling him.
"I'm a grown woman," she whispered, wiping the red lipstick mark from his lips, "I can handle going to the mall by myself."
"You had brain surgery-"
"Twenty days ago," Bella scoffed, pulling back, "stop babying me and finish your thesis."
"Uhm," Luke huffed, rubbing a hand over his face, "bring me a milkshake from McDonald's?"
"Sure," she turned around, jumping from the bed and grabbing a coat and a scarf in their wardrobe, "finish your thesis and I'll bring you a happy meal."
Lucas rolled his eyes, but opened an amused smile, "promise me you'll call if anything anything happens," he said, measuring her up, "really, babe, I think you should just wait and then we can go-"
"That thesis will not write itself," Bella walked to the door, grabbing her purse hanging on the doorknob of the bedroom, "stop worrying about me and worry about finishing your degree, Atwood."
"Call me if anything happens!" Lucas called after her, as Bella walked out of their room. Their house was so tiny she could still hear him clearly from the living room as he said, in a normal tone, "and I want a strawberry milkshake! And text me about the happy meal toy, don't pick for me!"
"I'm gonna use your car!" Bella yelled back instead, digging through his backpack for the key and she could almost picture him shrugging, "what do you want for Christmas again?"
"You're ruining the surprise!"
She bit down a smile, stepping out of the house while yelling back, "You're getting coal!"
At twenty of November, their tiny town was freezing. They had already had their first snow, although right now it wasn't snowing, just windy and the roads slippery. Lucas had put on the snow chains on both their wheels, the worrywart that he was.
Bella rubbed her hands together, climbing inside Luke's truck and fiddling with his mirror and seat. It was weird to be out of the house by herself after so long. She understood completely Lucas worry, after everything that had happened.
Her memory of the first ten days since leaving the hospital was splotchy at best. There were sequence of events she remembered vividly, then there were entire days missing, that Luke sometimes referenced and got a blank stare in response.
She had spent so much time sleeping, her skin had never been as refreshened. Bella felt like she had enough energy now to stay out partying for three days in a row, so the mall should be easy enough to handle.
Besides, it was Black Friday. Well, Black Monday, but whatever, most mall stores took "Black Friday" as meaning the whole week, sometimes the last two weeks of November even. Bella wanted to catch the good deals, she had so many Christmas gifts to pursue, her list was long and worryingly expensive since Jonah and Wendy were in it.
Why couldn't everyone be a Vince?
Snorting at the thought, Bella put the car on reverse to get out of their driveway and started the shopping trip.
There was only one mall in town, so of course it was packed full of people. Ideally Bella would've driven to the next metropole, where she could get better malls, with better stores and she was pretty sure she was not going to find anything for Jonah in this mall, but for today it'd do.
Her list of people was terribly long, so Bell opted for starting with the easy ones. Vince was getting a new biker jacket, since he had ripped his favorite one to pieces during his accident and hadn't replaced it yet. Bella didn't trust Wendy on getting him something that was as rock n' roll as he'd like, so she knew it was a gift she could ace easily.
Leo was getting a coffee machine, which Bell knew was something he'd give her grief for overspending, but she fully planned on telling him it was a gift from her and her mother.
Something she hadn't accounted for was carrying the packages herself. Bella mentally cursed herself on not taking Luke's offer to go shopping together and switched the two big boxes around in her arms, before deciding the only course of action was to go back to the parking lot and getting them in the trunk of the car and then go back to shopping.
It was a detour she hadn't planned and it killed her momentum instantly, causing Bell to pout as she felt the exhaustion she had become very familiar with hit her like a wall of bricks.
She sat back down on the driver's seat, the door still wide open, trying to catch her breath. This was so annoying. She had been up for what? Ten hours? Only four of those really doing anything and yet Bella felt every bit like she could just curl up in the backseat and sleep until morning.
"Fuck," she rubbed her arms, clenching and unclenching her hands, trying to force her energy back up. Luke had texted her already, a well meaning "everything ok?" but that only made her more pissed off.
Bella jumped from the car, slamming the door shut. She was not leaving until she had finished her list.
She was onto the harder people and Bella grind her teeth as she felt a headache bloom behind her right eye as she looked around some fancy store in search of Wendy's gift.
Some poor attendant tried to help her, but Bella had only stared at the girl, unable to string together that not only she didn't need help, she really couldn't deal with someone else right now.
Wendy's gift ended up being a bust, so she dejectedly left the store, heading to a Bath&Body store to get something for Vince's mom and her own mother.
Bella was waiting at the huge cashier line when she felt a tickling at her nose, the pressure behind her eyes increasing exponentially. She groaned, cradling her head and planting the basket at her feet, waiting for the feeling to pass.
It didn't pass, not even after someone touched her gently in the back and told her she was next in line, not even once Bella was out of the store and sitting by the fountain, cradling her head in her hands and staring at her combat boots.
She was struggling to make up which way was up or down with how fuzzy everything felt and the pressure in her sinus told Bella she had only a handful of minutes before her nose started gushing blood.
Luke was the first one on speed dial, so she clumsily pressed around her phone, holding it to her ear and feeling a sharp sting not only to her eyes, but to her pride. She knew he wouldn't say I-told-you-so, not when she was feeling so bad, but he'd certainly act it. Being twice as concerned, when all she wanted was her life back.
"Bell?" Lucas answered, already sounding worried, "what's up?"
"Lu..." She cursed herself for sounding so whiny, taking slow breaths to try and collect her thoughts, "can you come get me?"
There was a gasp, then moving around, "yeah baby, where are you?"
"The mall... Third floor, near the fo- fuck - near the fountain" She sniffled, touching her nose just as a she felt liquid starting to drip. Her fingers came back red.
"What's wrong?" Luke asked anxiously and she could clearly hear him opening the door, the wind howling behind him, "Bella?"
"My head hurts, my nose is bleeding, I don't- I don't know what to do..." She felt incredibly useless.
"Alright, stay where you are, okay? I'll be there in five," Luke promised and she heard more shuffling around, before he mumbled a quick, "see you soon, love you." And hung up.
She let her head hang, squeezing her nose with clumsy fingers. Bella was vaguely aware she should move to a bathroom and get the mess contained, before she looked like a glutton vampire, but she couldn't bring herself to get up. All the energy she had mustered up to finish shopping was quickly vanishing and colorful dots were dancing before her vision, an annoying hum in her ears.
"Hey, hey, hey-" Lucas' hand cupped her face and Bella blinked, unsure if she had blacked out or just spaced out. Both options were equally mortifying, "Bell? Can you hear me?"
For all his panic, Bella had to give him credit for not immediately dragging her to a hospital like she knew he wanted to. She nodded, forcing her eyes to stay open, "...msorry, I just... My head..."
"It's okay, it's alright," his fingers, the ones near her nose and mouth, were sticking to her skin. It was not okay. Her eyes teared up and Bella let out a little whimper, grabbing his wrist.
"Luke... I'm br-broken..."
"Don't say that," he glared at her, shaking her slightly, "you're just stubborn, you're still healing."
"No, I'm broken f-forever..." now big, fat tears started to stream down her face and Bella lowered her forehead to his shoulder, muffling a sob against his coat. Lucas let out an unhappy noise.
"You're not broken, baby," he cooed, kissing the side of her head, right where she knew the doctors had opened a fucking hole in her head, "you just need to give yourself some time, Bell..."
She shook her head, still deep in denial, and let out a sob, only for the sob to bring up her stomach's content with it. Bella pulled back, slamming a hand to her lips and Lucas was well versed now after almost a month of the recovery period and the many times this had happened.
He widened his eyes, chanting, "wait just a sec, just a sec, baby-" as he emptied out the Bath&Body Works checkered bag and pushed in front of her mouth just in time.
Bella let out a groan, once again leaning forward so her forehead to was touching his shoulder, bringing up a watery mouthful of vomit, before continuing to gag a couple more chunks. She felt her nose sting and let out a groan, forcing up a burp that squished down the sudden nausea.
"...Fuck," she groaned, closing her eyes and almost dropping the bag as her arms gave up on holding it. Lucas grabbed the straps just in time, squashing it shut in one of his hands, the other one cupping her chin and forcing her eyes to meet his.
"Better?"
"I'm so tired of this," she groaned in response and he opened a small smile, not quite amused, but relieved, running his thumb over her bottom lip and wiping away the droll clinging to it. Bell wrinkled her nose, "gross."
"You're not gross," he rolled his eyes, planting a kiss over her brow, "wait here, I'm gonna get you something to clean up with."
Before she could say anything, Lucas had gotten up and disappeared further into the mall, taking the puke bag with him. Bella sighed, leaning forward, elbows on her knees and cradling her head in her hands, taking deep breaths to collect her emotions.
He skipped back, falling to his knees before her in a manner that made Bell cringe, "you're gonna bust your knee doing that," she scoffed, as Luke wet the million paper napkins he had gotten from the food court in the fountain and wiped the dried blood away from her nose, lip, chin and hands.
"If football didn't burst my knee, it's not running in a mall that will do it, Bell," he rolled his eyes, wiping away the black tear tracks on her cheek, "there we go. Better?"
"Better," she made a face as he wiped at her neck, cleaning the dried blood, "I must look scary."
"You always look scary, baby," Lucas teased her, planting a kiss on the tip of her nose, "what happened?"
"My swiss cheese of a brain was stupid," Bella said bitterly, causing him to snort and wait until she elaborated, "I started to get super tired, then a headache, then the blood... That's about it."
"Like an absence seizure?" he asked and Bella rolled her eyes. In the spam of twenty days, her husband had learned everything and anything about seizures and other brain related maladies that could be a side effect of the surgery.
"No, not like that," she let out a sigh and then glared down, "now I need a new bag for my gifts."
Luke let out a surprised chuckle, glancing down, "who's that for?" he picked up the candles and lotions he had unceremoniously thrown to the ground when grabbing the bag for her vomit in.
"For you, of course," Bella grinned, causing him to scoff, picking the items up.
"I'd love anything you pick, but please don't pick this," he said, squinting at the labels, "Wendy?"
"Wendy would kill me if I gave her Bath&Body stuff," Bella leaned her head against his bicep, clearing her throat from the acidic taste, "it's for Ma and my mom."
"Ma... Vin's mom?"
"Yeah," she slumped against him, "can we go home?"
"Of course," Lucas held all the items in his hands, while Bella hugged his arm, using him as support to pull herself up.
"I forgot your milkshake..."
He let out a snort, kissing her temple, "that's fine, we can get one in the stand downstairs."

Alliance Woes - ScottfWhip
Survivor mode is going strong I suppose, but I'm happy to write anything at all.
Scott couldn't for the life of him focus on what the Ocean Queen was talking about. He was a bit shocked she came to him in person. Bundled up in many many layers. But he did turn down alliance invites from all other member rulers of the Cod Alliance. He was sure she presented all the pros of having allies so distant from him would be. Especially with his empire being quite close to Grimlands.
From the entire Wither Rose Alliance, fWhip's nation was most worrisome to Scott. Pear and Gem could be reasoned with. And could keep Sausage somewhat in check. fWhip was an absolute wild card who listened to no one. In all honesty, fWhip's offer to join said alliance was more tempting. With how Katherine seemed to be leaning in favour of Cod. She could be trouble.
"Lord Smajor? Are you okay?" the Ocean Queen asked, breaking him from his thoughts of last evening's 'political' talks with Count fWhip himself. Luckily the half dragon left shortly before his current guest arrived.
"Yes, yes, I apologize if I seem tired. I had to stay up late with a bit of an emergency," Scott apologized, shifting uncomfortably and fixing the collar of his shirt. He really hoped it covered marks that fWhip seemed to love as well as it seemed while he was getting dressed. In a lot of hurry, arguably. He really hoped Lizzie would be done bothering him so he could rest, have proper breakfast, and try to get fWhip's teeth and sharp, nearly claw-like nails out of his mind before their official meeting. "Unfortunately I'll have to, yet again," he was nothing if not at least a bit petty, "turn down this most generous invitation. Taking everything into account the close relation to Lost Empire as well as the distance I have to stay by my decision," he explained, with as friendly of a smile as he could when sitting was kind of uncomfortable... Damn fWhip...
Ocean Queen ended her visit a bit abruptly and stiffly. And didn't look any happier when she passed by a very happy with himself fWhip in Scott's door. The bastard arrived sooner than he said he would. And his smirk got even more smug once he noticed. "Sorry I'm early, but you were interested in blowing up a whole tunnel through a mountain, and that takes a lot of planning," fWhip grinned, barely acknowledging the Ocean Queen with the slightest of head tilts.
This of course didn't impress Ocean Queen who only sped up the proper leaving procedures. Leaving Scott alone with the beast that is fWhip and all his sharp edges. "So, shall we talk explosives over breakfast?" the count offered innocently but not so secretly eyeing all the spots he left his marks last night.
"How about you stop beating around the bush and just ask me to join your stinking alliance?" Scott huffed, escaping fWhip's grabbing range to go and actually get breakfast and not just be fWhip's biting toy.
"I don't really need to, do I? Not like you'll join cow-boy's club if I don't," fWhip hummed as he closely followed the elven king. "If you want to join to keep them from asking then I can have a chat with Gem and Pearl, they shouldn't mind and then Sausage can't say no," he added as Scott remained silent.
"That'd be appreciated, it's annoying," Scott saw no reason to not agree. Most of WRA was tolerating his existence but didn't seem like they would want to spend an excessive amount of time - or any for that matter - around him. Except for fWhip. But there was no reasoning with madness. Or dragons. And the bastard was both. To certain degrees.

Bird From the Window (ft. Pepper, Penny, and Zoe)
Yet another day in Downtown City. The sun was shining, the birds were singing…
And Pepper wishes she could make them shut up. They're making this headache and sickness of hers worse.
Maybe it was the medicine she was force-fed that made her a bit drowsy, and unable to think well enough. Or maybe she was just plain grumpy.
Either way, Pepper decided to voice her thoughts, "Birds. Noisy. Kill it. Kill them all.
"…Kill?" Penny's voice shook with concern as she closed Pepper's underarm, letting the thermometer do its work, "Pepper, I think that'd be a bit much… we can just shoo them away!"
Zoe tentatively placed a hand on Pepper's forehead. She immediately retracted her hand when she felt just how warm Pepper was, "Oh dear! Penny, get a towel from that drawer over there and soak it in cold water. Pepper needs it."
"On it, Zoe!" Penny did a little salute and went off to obey Zoe's orders.
The sharp beep of the thermometer started up, signaling that it was done taking Pepper's temperature.
Ugh, another high-pitched annoying sound.
Luckily, it was gone quickly. Zoe pulled the thermometer out of Pepper's underarm, taking a look at the temperature.
"…39 degrees?! If your hot forehead wasn't enough to convince me to make you stay here, then 39 degrees definitely is." Zoe said.
Pepper took a little while to process the information. When she did, all she had to say was; "W…wuh? Oh… a-aCHOO-!"
"Here's that cold, wet towel!" Penny came in carrying said item, handing it to Zoe. Zoe spread the towel out and placed it on Pepper's forehead.
"There we go. Now, your plan for today is to rest. You'll be staying in bed, and Penny and I will stay here to watch over you!"
"But I… I have a big show today… The-" Pepper coughed, "The people… must hear… my comedy…my jokes!!"
"The people will get to hear it at your next show. But you'll have to cancel this one. Sorry, Pepper," Penny shook her head.
"The great Pepper Clark does… not… cancel…!"
"Shhh…" Zoe stroked Pepper's hair, beads of sweat shining throughout. Gentle fingers scratched at just the right spot in her scalp, making Pepper sigh. The sensation was so relaxing, maybe she could just…
The fingers were gone before Pepper could ask for more.
"Eugh, sweat…" Zoe wiped the salty liquid off her hand.
The sound of a high-pitched pop song filled the room.
God, no. Please no. Not the high pitched noises…
"Oh, excuse me, I've got a call to answer…" Zoe said, pulling her phone out of her pocket.
"…Your ringtone… is nightcore of one of your songs?" Penny asked.
"SHHH, don't mention it," Zoe hushed her friend as she pressed the answer button, "Hello? Yes? Oh, hello Russell dearie! You see, I'm a bit busy right now…”
Zoe's voice faded away into another room, leaving Pepper and Penny alone in this one.
"So, any special requests, Pepper?"
"Bird in the window, do something about it."
"Again with the bird in the window?"
"Y…yeah! Just make them quiet somehow. I want to sleep, but… noisy. Stupid birds. Hey, you've watched Adventure Time, right?"
"Um, a couple episodes, yeah?"
"Do the thing with like- the bird from the window. From the sandwich. Cook it. I'm not sure. Just make them shut up…"
"Oh wow, uh- okay, okay!"
"That is all… Now go forth. Complete your quest…"
That- and Penny's chuckle- is the last thing Pepper remembered before she fell into a state of nothingness.
-
The nap didn't do much to make Pepper feel better. In fact, she probably felt even worse.
She groaned, placing a hand to her head in an attempt to make the pounding stop.
Well... it was quiet now. The birds were gone. How long do they stay on windows anyway? What time was it?
"Oh, Pepper! You're awake!" Penny cheerfully said, opening the door to let herself into the bedroom. Pepper noticed the tray Penny had in hand.
"Whaddya wa… what is it?”
Penny took her place in the chair next to Pepper's bed. She set the tray on the bedside table, "So, thing is- Zoe had to go out. The boys and Minka need her for something. So I offered to stay here and look after you!"
"Wow, that's awesome, Penny," Pepper felt herself smile. Through this sickness, it was comforting to have at least one friend there.
Curious about the tray, Pepper said, "So, uh… Whatchu got over there?"
"Oh, yes! These. First, we got your medicine- you can take these later, just so long as it's within the day."
"Mmm... medicine..."
"And this big water bottle whenever you get thirsty!" Penny lifted the bottle up to show Pepper, "I'll place it right here. Remember, hydration is important, especially now that you're sick!"
"Uh, yeah, sure. Hydration." Penny's words only barely got through Pepper's mind.
"And, lastly, I have you some nice, warm noodle soup! With bird from the window, just as you requested!"
That got Pepper's mind into gear.
"Wait, what?" Pepper jolted up from her laying flat position. The (now very warm) towel from her forehead flopped onto her blanket, "I don't know what sleepy drugs I was on back there, but my lord I didn't think you'd take my request seriously-"
Penny giggled, "No, silly, of course I wouldn't! It's just normal chicken, don't worry about it."
"Oh. Phew. Okay." Pepper sighed. Feeling a bit better, she also started to giggle, "Hah, good one, Ling."
"Coming from a comedienne? Aww, I'm honored!" Penny smiled. She took the towel from its spot on the bed. The spot on the blanket where it had been was starting to get soggy.
"Now, I'll leave you alone to enjoy the soup. I'll be back in a bit with a newly soaked cold towel, okay? Call me if you need anything!"
"Yeah, aighty then. See ya…"
With that, Penny was up up and away.
"Hehe, bird from the window. I'll have to make do something with that later..." Pepper chuckled to herself as she stuck her fork into a meat chunk from the bowl, ready to eat it.
Huh. If the pieces are this tiny, that must have been a very small chicken…

previous chapter | next chapter | masterlist
summary; the one where ej and andy have to navigate the disastrous documentary outcome, him leaving for college and what will happen with the rest of their lives together
wordcount: 1.8k
warnings; derogative language towards women
"Babe!" EJ called out from the bottom of the stairs. Andy ran round the corner, looking down at him as he stood there, pulling a shirt over his head.
"Yeah?" She replied, looking at him confused.
"I'm going out to fetch some snacks for movie night and your mums meds, you want anything?" He asked, reaching blindly for his jacket, knowing exactly where it was.
Andy stood there for a second, relishing in the domesticity of his words. Since the documentary came out, he had been living with her.
He had parted ways with his dad - amicably - and they had decided to not talk for a while. His dad hadn't called in the three weeks since.
She hummed in response, "Popcorn?" She suggested.
He nodded, "Sweet and Salty?" She smiled at his words, he knew her so well.
"Thanks Eej," she called out as he walked through the door, closing it behind him.
Andy had a big goofy grin on her face. She loved having him around and having him near whenever she wanted to see him.
Tommy had moved out now. He was living with his girlfriend Willow in a nice apartment on the other side of town.
And her oldest sister Charlie was starting her masters degree and was going to be moving into the local university - close enough to look after her mum still.
She was lost in her thoughts, thinking about her mum's deteriorating health and EJ leaving soon.
"Andy," someone called out and she turned to see her uncle standing there, "Can we talk?"
She nodded, following him along the hallway to her bedroom. She sat down and watched as he stood there, thinking about what to say.
He looked at her room, eyes scanning over pictures. He stopped when he saw the one of her dad, his brother in law. He reached down, picking up the picture of her and EJ laughing.
"Is he all packed for school?" James asked, trying to start a conversation.
She hummed in response, "As ready as he can be,"
There was a beat of silence and James put the picture down, "I know it's been hard with the documentary, and your mums health getting worse, and Charlie and Tommy leaving,"
He sighed. He looked at the little girl in the photo again and wondered how she was managing to go through all of this and still stay strong.
"And now EJ is going to go," he shook his head, looking back at Andy, "I just want to make sure you're okay,"
She nodded. Andy was struggling with all these people leaving but they were all still alive and here and that's all she could ask for.
"And I know EJ will have his own dorm. And I'll be out on business so you'll have the house all to yourselves-" he started and she cut him off, knowing exactly what he meant.
She held her hands up, face scrunching up in disgust, "Uncle James,"
"I'm just saying kid," he sighed, running a hand through his hair, "Be safe, make sure he treats you right because if he doesn't, I'll kill him,"
Andy smiled, wrapping her arms around him suddenly, suprising him, "Thank you," she muttered into his chest.
James smiled, placing his head on top of hers and wrapping his arms around her as well.
He knew she was going to be okay, with everything.
The next morning, Andy walked into school with Ricky. It was strange how much things had changed since last year.
Last year Rickys plan was to skate around and now he was a drama club student who was constantly the lead.
Andys life had changed too. She never thought she'd be friends with EJ again, and definitely not dating him. Neither of them also expected to be semi-famous.
"Senior year baby," Andy said, looking around, pulling nervously on her satchel.
Ricky laughed, "What was it Big Red said last year? Might grow a mustache?" He questioned.
Andy laughed, thinking about that. It felt like a million years ago now, "I can't believe he's really doing that semester aboard in Cairo,"
Ricky shook his head, "I know," he scrunched his face up again, "Where is Cairo again?"
She hit him, "Egypt," she stated and he faked an injury, making both of them laugh, "Senior year is gonna feel wrong without him,"
He hummed in response, thinking about how much their lives had changed, "I'm sure it's going to be weird without EJ," he said, "When is he leaving again?"
She sighed. Andy did not want to think about the fact that her boyfriend would be moving an hour away from her in two days, right when she needed him.
"Two days," she replied, pursing her lips together, "I feel sick just thinking about it,"
Ricky looked at his best friend, understanding how hard it must be, "You'll still see one another, what did Ashlyn say?" He thought for a second, "Yeah, you're endgame,"
She laughed but her moment of happiness was cut away when some guy stopped in front of them, looking at her.
"Slut," he spat out, knocking into Rickys shoulder as he stormed away.
She just froze there, knowing it was about the documentary. He looked at her, trying to hide his anger.
He placed his hands on her shoulder, "You okay Andy?" He asked and she looked up at him with wide eyes, willing herself not to cry.
She nodded, shaking the feelings away as she put a smile on, "Just some douche, it means nothing,"
He didn't believe her but also knew her well enough to know she wouldn't tell him how she felt, "I'm going to the bathroom, you'll be good?"
Andy smiled at him, "of course," she promised, squeezing his shoulder before walking off.
She couldn't help that anxious feeling bubbling up in her chest as she walked through the halls. She didn't want to be perceived as something.
She could feel paranoia setting in. Was that person laughing at her? Was that comment she overheard about her?
Andy only stopped thinking about it when Gina called her over. She rushed in their direction, wanting to feel safe for a minute.
"Andy! It's been so long!" Ashlyn said, pulling the girl into a side hug.
"Its been less than a week ladies," she said, a smile on her face.
The week before school, after the documentary premiere, EJ had decided to treat her with the little money he had left to four days in sunny California, just the two of them.
"Well from what I heard from my cousin, it was a memorable four days," Ashlyn said suggestively, wiggling her eyebrow.
She scrunched her nose up, "We didn't have sex Ash, we haven't," she said, shaking her head, thinking back to what the guy said.
"I wasn't suggesting that," she held her hands up in a mock surrender, "I just meant that you two had fun,"
"What happened over there? Some guy knocked into Ricky?" Gina questioned.
She tensed up, wondering whether she should tell them what really happened or brush it off.
"Not much, some guy called me a slut," she shrugged, trying to act nonchalant, "Probably watched the documentary,"
The girls gasped, looking at one another, "Where is he? I'll beat him up," Gina said, brows furrowed.
"Its nothing, dont worry about it," she reassured.
The two girls had seen the altercation and had seen how uncomfortable it had made her. It was not nothing.
Andy sighed, "Seriously, don't worry," she wanted to change the subject, stop talking about it, "Anyway, what's going on?"
Gina and Ashlyn looked at one ankther, deciding not to push the subject any further, "Someone is texting Maddox,"
"Ooh, really?" Andy said, watching a blush spread on Ashlyns face, "I knew there was something between you two,"
"No, texting Maddox giving her relationship advice for Mad," Gina explained.
Ashlyn slammed her locker shut, making them jump, "I just want to be there for her," she stated, almost passive aggressively
"I just hope she's there for you too," Gina said.
She sighed, "She is, she gives me advice about Big Red,
"Anything helpful?" Andy asked.
"To support him in his semester abroad and give him space but also be there for him," she explained, stepping back from her locker.
"So you're both just giving each other relationship advice?" Andy questioned, not understanding the relationship dynamic going on here.
"Yep, that's it," she said, starting to walk away.
"We're juniors," Gina said before turning to Andy, "You're a senior," she nodded, "Its all eyes on the prize,"
"What's the prize?" Ashlyn asked, one eyebrow raised. She was intruiged.
"Thats for you to figure out Ash," Gina said, patting her on the shoulder before walking away to the theatre hall, the other two following.
They walked into the theatre hall, hearing Carlos complain about how Seb is still not showing up due to their arguments.
They sat down, Andy taking the space behind Gina and Ashlyn, next to Kourtney.
'I know we have the big pep rally coming up in a bit but I wanted to grab you kids early for a special sneak preview of our show," Miss Jenn explained.
They all oohed and ahhd over the idea, all of them wondering what it was going to be.
"Where's Ricky?" Miss Jenn asked.
"What a surprise, Richard Bowen is late?" Carlos said with a roll of his eyes.
"Some thing never change," Andy joked, "And last I saw him he was going to the bathroom but that was like ten minutes ago so,"
Miss jenn pulled a face at the idea and just as she did, he ran through the door, out of breath.
"Sorry, hello, I was in the bathroom thinking about senior pranks," He explained, sitting down next to Andy.
"Wildcats, some people may think they know you now that they've seen you on TV but they don't know the real you," Miss jenn explained
She looked at Ricky, the two of them nodding about the sentiment. This meant a lot, especially after what had happened earlier.
"I want this show to be a safe space for you," she explaied, walking over to the board and grabbing the cover, "My babies, I present,"
She pulled the cover off to reveal that they were doing High School Musical. They all sat there confused, looking at it.
"High School musical again?" Gina asked, cocking her head to the side.
"No, Carlos," Miss Jenn said and he rushed up.
He placed an upside down three next to the word 'musical' but it looked more like an e
"High school musicale?" Andy questioned.
Carlos looked at it again before spinning it round, "High school musical three!" He announced

"I don't understand, Elia, it doesn't make sense to me. We were fine, we were happy."
"you were happy. I haven't been happy in this relationship for a while."
"but can't we work it out?"
"I've tried to tell you what I need, what would make me happy, make me stay. But you just say the right words and make me feel heard when I'm about to walk away, and then nothing changes."
"so you're leaving and you're going to clown school? You think that's gonna solve all your problems?"
"staying with you isn't going solve them either. In fact, staying with you was one of the biggest problems. You don't talk to me, not really. You're not curious about me. About what I do, what I want. You get to fuck me, have me be your therapist, your cook, your fucking study buddy, and what do I get? A man who doesn't even look away from his video games when I come in the front door."
"I do talk to you, I send you messages all the time"
"telling me how horny you are when you're at work isn't my idea of talking, genius."
"look, baby, we can work this out. Tell me how I can fix this."
"you can fix it by being my partner five months ago, not just lie back and not change a single thing no matter how many times I've asked you. That's not a partnership, you've not been my boyfriend, you've not done anything you said you would"
"what did I say I would do?"
"you know what, Norman? I'm not going to dig up shit anymore with you. If you wanna go in circles you can, but I'm gonna get my stuff, and I'm gonna go. Lose my number."
"Elia, please. I love you!"
"it's too late for that."
"at least let me help you with your stuff."
"nuh uh, don't patronise me. I can carry everything. My brother's waiting in the driveway."
"okay."
-
[car door opens, boot opens]
"hey Norman."
"hey Walter"
"goodbye, Norman."
"Elia, why can't we just work it out? This time I swear I'll try."
"that's what you said last time."
"Look, I- you know what? Fine. Have fun with your balloon animals. I'm sure you'll go far with a degree in clown bullshit."
"thanks, Norman. I knew you'd be mature about this. I hope I never see you again."
"Wait, Elia, I'm sorry. I didn't mean that. Just- "
[car door slams, wheels accelerate]
"Elia! ELIA! ... fuck"
-
"look at him chasing you like an idiot."
"if you say I told you so one more time, I'll tell mom about Chinese New Years."
"i wasn't gonna! Chill, Eely."
"oh, Walter, what the hell am I gonna do now. All my friends told me he was a loser. I can't face them."
"yes you can. Go hang out with them, do girl stuff. You'll feel better. Hey, you want me to do anything about Norman? I know where he lives now."
"Geez Walter, no I don't need you to do anything. He wasn't like Dillon."
"relax, I was just gonna cut his brakes or something. [-] I'm joking. Anyway, you wanna get a burrito?"
"I'm not hungry."
"well I am, we're getting burritos."
"okay."
"Come on, Eely, you'll do fine. He was a tool. Maybe you'll meet a cute guy at clown school. With big shoes and loads of polkadot shirts."
"maybe"
"whatever the case, I'm sure you'll forget all about that guy come August. If there's any cute girls with tricycles on your campus give them my number, eh?"
"you're still into performance art girls? Even after Anna-May?"
"I guess she was more Art the clown than Pierrot. But uh, artsy strikes more interesting than engineering if I'm honest."
"why don't you try dating someone from your climbing group?"
"oh no, last time I gave that a shot I ended up with 2 grand in debt and a really shit back tattoo"
"huh. Well. May we both find someone nice and non-garbage soon"
"Amen to that. Wait, is that a man walking a duck?"
"oh my god"
"that's Perth for you isn't it"
"sure is"

so folks! the holidays start tomorrow and it's not gonna be easy for many of the queers who have to see/ spend a significant amount of time with their families.
so I decided to make a little personal post and tell you from on queer to another that it will get better I promise you.
this year two pretty significant things happened in my life. 1 I got my ba degree (finally yay!) and I started dating a girl for the first time in my life.
they are both nearly equally important. 1 I had hard time in university. corona, my neurodivergence and my demanding study program manifested itself in a grade a burnout eventually. but this year I finished! so to all those people struggling out there: it's get better, it's not easy but I promise you can do it, there still a life worth living for you out there.
2 I started dating for the very first time in my life, mind you I'm in my mid 20s now. so to all the people who pressure themselves about dating, don't. take your time, life's not running away, you'll meet some amazing people in your life, it's gonna be just fine when that special someone appears. you are loveable and loved just how you are I promise.
now here is the very lesbian clichee story of me and my girlfriend: we've know each other since we were 6. went to primary school together and where fast friends quickly. we both had no idea that loving another girl was a thing yet. but I'm pretty sure I loved her back then already. she moved away before we started middle school. promised to keep in touch (by letter mind you) wich didn't work out. but I thought of her often and tried to reach her somehow over the years. to no avail sadly. but then we met again by chance. our school had a anniversary party and invited everyone who ever went there. I went and she too. we ander up ditching our old classmates and talking outside for 4 hours. got her number! we were 16 by then, was in a little crisis about my sexuality at this point already but had convinced myslefi was straight. (that lasted for another 5 weeks lol)
after that we texted like once a year, very sporadic. Hush school was busy and we were shy. till the moment we graduated. we met up that summer before we both went off to univercity. it was basically a day long date. by that point I was pretty secure in my sexuality and knew that I had been attracted to her all along. but I didn't say anything, cause she was straight. I did tell her I was queer tho.
after that we started texting more. and because we couldn't meet up we started making video calls. for hours and hours. at first only once every 4 month. then every 2 then every month and 3 years later we talked every 2 weeks. we hadn't seen each other in person for 4 years tho. till this year. where we started seeing each other every 2 month. staying over at each other's place. and still the 5 hour long calls.
by this point I the attraction I had felt at first had morphed into a solid crush tho I tried to stop it I had fallen completely in love with her. but, tho she was a great ally she was still straight so I said nothing (a bit cowardly I know). problem was tho that our friendship had a very weird dynamic, from the start really but it morphed into something more in the last year.
I was confused of course, I couldn't really pinpoint what was going on but something was up. well the thing that was up was her figuring out her sexuality because she fell for me too. fast forward to October: apparently I wasn't subtle enough with my feelings and she was brave enough to make a move.
I got a letter from her one when she stayed over. with her confession. and well it's been truly bliss ever since. I hadn't anticipated how transformative being loved like she loves me would be. but I'm eternally grateful.
So to everyone out there who figured it out late: it's alright your perfectly normal and in the positive side you won't have to deal with teenage hormones while doing it. (if figuring IT out means a second coming of the hormones TM good luck with that ;P )
To everyone who thinks there's no one out there who would love them, I promise you with all my heart that's not true. You are loved. By strangers on the internet, your friends, your (chosen) family. And it'll get better. Theres people to meet and love and care to be had yet.
So to quote our resident queer writer Chuck Tingle: Love wins!
I love you all have a good break, there's love and beauty in the world too♥️

AS MUCH AS TAI INSISTED THAT NAT NEVER TOOK THINGS SERIOUSLY, this had been her menial attempt at trying. Which, had also correlated in her overall reasoning for leaning in on the kiss in the first place. Contradicting as it was, she'd done so knowing that the woman was craving some form of distraction in order to dodge whatever inevitable admittance she didn't really want to divulge. In that sense, she did know Tai too much at times and yet, apparently not so much as it turned out. So, why Tai was practically glaring at her now only proved perplexing to Natalie overall, but it went without saying. After all, it wasn't often most people showed up at her motel room just wanting to actually talk (unless they were Misty fucking Quigley). A minor case of whiplash that she'd sooner rather avoid if possible. Still, she takes the other's mumbled words personally, letting the amber liquid rest upon tongue for a moment too long before swallowing and letting the burn slither down her throat. Enjoying every last second of it. She almost speaks to the initial statement, but then stops herself when Taissa continues, letting the conversation get serious again on the primary subject matter once more. Glass in hand lowering momentarily, now gripped in both hands in front of her as she leans herself against the counter. Of course, Tai brings up Shauna's name and Nat isn't even the least bit surprised; those two were like peas in a pod, always had been. Not that she was jealous - maybe a little bit - in all honesty, she expected that response either way. ❝ Well, yeah… ❞ naturally assuming talking to a professional sleep specialist about it was out of the question at this point given Tai's public appearance and she resists the subtle urge to mention that the woman had put herself in that position. They had all agreed to keep themselves on the down low since being rescued and yet, Tai chose the spotlight regardless. There was a lot that could've been said; a lot of backlash playing at the tip of her tongue but she knows too that that's not what Tai wanted to hear. Not from Natalie of all people, or, maybe it was. Maybe that was exactly why she was here in the first place, to come to the one person who wouldn't bullshit or sugarcoat the obvious spectrum. ❝ Look, ❞ she sets the glass back down upon the counter with a heavy sigh, running fingers through already messy hair, ❝ you're already giving the media a want for more information by making yourself a public figure. They already know who you are, to an extent and they're not going to just stop because you keep denying them that information. I get it though, I do, this is something you've wanted for a long time and why let the past stop you from doing that? Fact of the matter is, they'll never stop trying, especially now. At this point though, that's the least of your worries. If your biggest fear is that you'll actually hurt someone without knowing then that needs to be our primary focus, right? So… ❞
she's mostly thinking out loud at this point, ❝ Simone's out of the house, for her own safety, that's a good thing until we can figure this all out. Maybe… I don't know, just, hear me out: what if I stayed with you for a few nights? Kept an eye on you, I don't sleep much these days anyway. ❞ Failing to mention that she isn't afraid of getting hurt in the process should that be the outcome because in truth, she feels the most dispensable out of anyone else. ❝ It'll look like your wife moved out to make room for an old colleague who's become homeless and desperate, doesn't want your kid around an old drug addict, it'd make some sense to that degree. Makes you look somewhat good in the process for helping out a struggling friend. Hell, you could even fake offer me a job if that helps. Either way, I'll be able to keep some tabs on you. ❞
watching natalie get up and walk away made her fume way more than it should have. the other woman knew her too much. she knew that she wouldn't have let her get away with changing the subject. taissa bites her tongue, narrowing her eyes with a small scowl. she should be impressed with how smooth that was, but instead she's annoyed. at least she knows that she'll get a drink out of this. "you can't take anything seriously." it's mumbled under her breath, but she made sure it was loud enough for the other woman to hear. "for once in your life, natalie...."
but she still takes the drink when offered, deciding that maybe after all of this....the kiss...being more vulnerable than she normally was...she needed it. or more so needed something to focus her attention on that wasn't this. in a way, she'd so much rather lock lips with her again than talk about her feelings, which really puts a spotlight to where taissa's priorities were. or even, how much she was willing to push down and not talk about. but she talks about it anyway because what else would she do?
" -- just shauna." she remarks. who else would she have told? van and lottie were nowhere to be seen. she'd been avoiding misty's calls for months at this point, there was no way that anyone else would even get the severity of the situation. "it's not something that i can exactly broadcast to the world." she brings the drink up to her mouth, taking a sip before continuing. "can you imagine the headlines? like i would want to give them more material." taissa scoffs, glancing towards natalie with a real look of vulnerability for once. "not that i would ever admit it normally, but i'm afraid. what if i hurt someone, nat? knowing the past, that is not a hypothetical. i could do it and never know."

01: Noon at Ngayon
Back then, long before you were born, your mother used to work as a katulong of the Trese Family and was very close to its matriarch, Miranda Trese. Coming from the province, she was no stranger to superstitions—even more so after knowing the work of Miranda's husband Anton Trese, who was actually the Babaylan-Mandirigma of Manila.
Years later, after giving birth to you around the same time Miranda gave birth to her twins (one a stillborn, unfortunately), it was you and Alexandra who became best buddies instead, as different your personalities were. You two had practically grown up together and you yourself heard countless stories of the supernatural from your Tito Anton. It wasn't that hard to believe when he and his sigbin companions would sometimes come home tracking blood prints on the floors (which you'd helped your mother clean up). Heck, you'd even met Señor Armanaz, the Great Stallion himself and the ruling tikbalang of the Armanaz herd. That pretty, white-haired diwata seemed extremely fond of you, too, which was evident when you'd sneak in with Alexandra to Tito Anton's meetings and she would smile (even wave) at you happily.
You had absolutely no idea why the fae-like lady was so nice to you, but you weren't complaining at all!
However, in spite of your experiences with the supernatural, you and your mother always believed that you were normal humans. In actuality, that was who you were for the majority of your childhood. It was only until Miranda herself saw a vision of you—a much older you—fighting the monsters of the Underworld alongside her own daughter. During dinnertime, Miranda told your mother that she saw you blessed by the heavens with powers that would aid in the battle against evil.
It sounded absolutely ridiculous, right? Yeah, your mom thought so, too.
Your mother only laughed it off as she placed a steaming bowl of tinola in front of Alexandra's brothers, who instantly dug in like they haven't been fed in years.
"Boys! Dahan-dahan lang," Anton reprimanded his sons. "Or else you'll choke and the soup will come out of your noses!"
"Okay, Papa."
"Grabe ka naman, Miranda. I doubt that anything like that's going to happen to my daughter," your mom chuckled, watching your little hands try to feed Alexandra with a piece of chicken. "Unlike you guys, our lineage isn't anything special. Ordinaryo lang ang lahi namin."
Miranda sighed, looking at you and her only living daughter enjoying your time being kids, "I guess you're right. Baka panaginip lang talaga 'yun."
Anton glanced at her knowingly. Although he was aware that you and your mom didn't dabble in magic or anything like they did, he knew that whenever Miranda—one of the Seven Seers—had such vivid dreams, it was something of great importance. But he decided to say nothing, understanding how much your mother wanted to let you live as normal of a life possible in this household.
That was when you were seven years old. One year later, Miranda died fighting against a group of aswang who decided to betray Anton. Said man found the eight-year-old Alexandra hiding in a corner behind the waterfalls, scared and holding Sinag close to her heaving chest as she tried to hold her tearful sobs in.
Of course, a few days later, you and your mother attended the funeral with the mourning Trese family. All the brothers had done their best to stay strong, especially for their little sister who didn't fully understand yet what just happened. Little you ran towards Alexandra, holding her hand tightly as her mother's casket was lowered. Around you were various comrades, both human and non-human, paying their respects to their bereaved allies.
That day, as you turned your back to return to your mother's arms, you knew you would never forget the feeling of numerous unearthly eyes following your every movement.
Even they could sense that there was something about you, a so-called regular human child. You smelled human and had the aura of one, but there was something they couldn't place. It was like a tiny rock getting into your shoe, not coming out at all.
Much changed after that, but you and Alexandra remained close together. To your dismay, just after you graduated elementary, you and your mother had to move back to the province to stay with your sick grandparents. The last thing you could remember was kneeling in the back of the car, looking sadly through the rear windscreen as Alexandra and her brothers waved goodbye to you.
More than a decade had passed since then. You used to write letters to Alexandra, but after Hank told you she had to undergo the trials of the Puno ng Balete, you haven't heard from her (although Hank did disclose that she'd managed to come home safely, which was a great relief to you). You didn't blame her; you knew Tito Anton had passed away in the five years she was gone and that she had to take over the title of Lakan, as well as the Babaylan-Mandirigma of Manila. It was a demanding job! You remembered Tito Anton sometimes staying up all night—breakfast would be served and he would still be in his study, going over paperwork. On other days, he would be gone for consecutive nights handling cases all around Manila. You could only pray Alexandra was fine.
Your life had continued on, as well—you took care of your ill grandparents until they died, helped your mother in the province, went to a good highschool, then earned your degree in another prominent city that wasn't Manila.
Your mom actually recommended that you go to school somewhere else, given the constantly rising number of attacks in the capital of the country. And so you did. Life was hard, but normal until then.
The funny thing was that, when you reached the age of twenty-one, you finally understood why those supernatural creatures kept looking at you weirdly as a kid (and why Lady Diwata liked you so much).
What was even funnier was that the dramatic revelation came to you when you weren't in the Philippines. It was after you freshly graduated college, when you were traveling all over Asia to volunteer in charity projects. It was always your dream to one day expand your horizons not only beyond your province, but the Philippines itself, while also doing good in the world.
And here you were, walking that path you dreamt of.
The organization you luckily managed to become a member of provided everything you needed, and every few months, you would move from country to country. Because of that, you'd already been able to travel to so many places. First it was Thailand, then Indonesia, China, South Korea, India, Japan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, and currently, you were in Vietnam. Visiting those places was fun and gave you a whole new perspective of the world you lived in; it was a... learning experience, too.
Still, that incident happened when you were in Thailand, when you were the last one in the rented apartment balcony taping up the boxes for the donation drive tomorrow. Yawning, you cut more duct tape and stuck them to the open boxes tightly.
"Inday," someone said from behind you. You didn't bother turning around, thinking it was one of your fellow volunteers looking for you this late at night. Probably your roommate. She was the only one who usually called you by your nickname instead of your real name.
"Hmm?" you hummed, taping up more boxes. "Papasok na ako sa kwarto, Lyn. I just have a few more boxes to close. Alam mong mapapagalitan ako kung may hindi madidistribute bukas."
"Hindi ako si Lyn."
You paused, then slowly turned around, flinching at the sudden bright light that shone right against your eyes. For a moment, akala mo namatay ka na at hinaharap mo si San Pedro.
It was a glowing figure in white whose face you couldn't clearly see, which frightened you even more.
"Ay, mama!" you exclaimed, shielding your eyes and falling to your knees. Then, you gasped loudly, patting your body and panicking with closed lids. "Oh my God, am I dead? Nasa heaven na po ba ako?" Your lips wobbled. "Ngayon pa nga lang ako nakaalis ng Pilipinas... I haven't even done all the things I've wanted to do! Hindi pa ako nakapagpaalam sa nanay ko—aray!"
You'd felt something hit the back of your head. Hard. It was the glowing figure in white, but now you could see their unimpressed face scowling at you.
"Kalma lang, Inday. Hindi ka pa patay, pero makinig ka nang mabuti," they shushed you urgently (you weren't sure if they were male or female). "Do not be afraid. I am a messenger from the heavens, and I bear great news!"
"Great news...?" you trailed off, then your eyes widened excitedly. "Like, nanalo ba ako ng lotto? Isang milyon? Bilyon? Hala! Wait, is this a Mama Mary moment? I'm not ready to be the next immaculate conception!"
They glared at you, making you shut up instantly. "Sorry, I'll shut up now," you apologized with a mumble. This person (thing?) was kind of... strict. Whatever did you do wrong? You were just sleep-deprived and running on energy drinks (as well as kape).
"I have come to tell you that you are the vessel of the last skymaiden," they revealed, arms wide open. The light around them seemed to grow even brighter, making you squint. You felt like you were about the go blind! "Ikaw ang huling biraddali, Y/N L/N."
At ayun, zero brain cells remaining. Tunay na nagloading screen ang brain mo. Nag-error at nagcrash pa nga siguro, eh.
"... Ha? Ano?"
You blinked, completely speechless—as seen by how wide your jaw had dropped open. It wasn't that you were unfamiliar with the biraddali, it was just that you'd only heard of them once when you were just a young child. Your Tita Miranda had mentioned they were long gone from the world of the supernatural.
"Oh no, me? A biraddali? You're joking," you stuttered out, pointing at yourself. "Aren't they extinct or something? And, uh... not human?"
They nodded, "Yes. It is correct that everyone in the mystical world thought that the biraddali were long gone, even before the colonizers came to conquer the native lands. However, before the skymaidens all disappeared, the youngest and most powerful one among the seven sisters sealed her soul away to the rivers of time until the strength of a heavenly being was needed to help purify the evils of the world." The figure floated closer to you. "That last biraddali's soul, along with its corresponding power, traits, and knowledge, had chosen to reside deep within you the moment you were conceived."
Honestly, how were you even supposed to react? Your life was nowhere near ready for something like this. Was this a prank by your friends? Your colleagues? The light around this person seemed too authentic to be fake, though.
You stayed in shock for an entire minute, silent. The being in front of you only waited for a response.
"Ano 'to, Sailor Moon? Winx Club?" you whispered to yourself, before slapping your own cheek and scolding yourself. A stinging red mark was left on your face. "Inday, kakamanhwa mo 'yan! Nasosobraan ka na ata, matulog ka na!"
Sighing heavily, you rubbed your face tiredly, still in disbelief that you—according to this stranger—were apparently some old soul from a species of ethereal beings that were long gone. It sounded like something out of those reincarnation webnovels you got addicted to. What now, you were the MC? Wattpad ka, girl?
"Look, this is a mistake. I still have to wake up early tomorrow to give out the donations," you spoke to the glowing being (or whatever it was), laughing nervously. "I'm sorry, but I think you have the wrong person. Either that or I must be hallucinating from sleep deprivation, because I'm definitely not a divine creature. You're probably just a product of my imagination. Sorry, I'm going to bed."
Bang!
At that moment, the power in the building went out. The only thing you could see was the thing who assumed you were a biraddali (they were so bright they were like a flashlight in the dark for you).
"Brownout?" you blinked. It felt wrong, though. It was eerily silent. "Did a fuse blow up?"
"Nagsimula na ang iyong unang pagsubok, Y/N," they announced seriously. "Creatures of the dark have already begun to take over this building. You may not have noticed, but all throughout your life, you have always been helping and giving. It is your nature as a being descended from the heavens themselves, and now, it is time for you to accept your destiny."
"Hoy, sandali lang! Sandali, sandali!" You were absolutely wide awake now as you heard the sounds of strange whispers around you. It was terrifyingly creepy, much creepier than whatever you'd seen back in the Trese Residence (and you'd seen a lot in that house). You did not want to be a part of a horror movie-like lifestyle. "Don't I have a choice in this?! I—I don't have any training or fighting skills! Hindi ako Alexandra Trese o Babaylan-Mandirigma! I'm not ready for this, holy sh—"
The candescent creature raised a brow at you, "Inday, I just told you that you have the power of a lost mystical being. And tell me, if you had the power to save your companions in this building from the forces of evil, would you save them?"
You were silent, knowing the answer.
"Well?" they prodded.
You bit your lip, "Oo naman. I'm not heartless!" But you were a little impulsive. And apparently, insane.
"That's what I thought. I just need you to believe in yourself," the being encouraged, gentler this time. It transformed into something smaller and rounder—like a ball of light. "Ikaw ang huling biraddali, Y/N, at marami kang kapangyarihan. Isa dito ay ang pagtulong sa mga nangangailangan, lalo na laban sa masasamang nilalang."
Bestie, what had you just gotten into?
You swallowed apprehensively, then nodded in determination, "Sige. So, how do I save the people in the building? Biraddali were said to be able to shapeshift, right? If I remember the tale correctly. Oh my God, I can't believe this is happening to me right now."
"That's just one of your abilities, but I'll teach you. I'm actually your guide," they replied confidently. "With me, you'll be able to master your powers and exceed your capabilities in no time!"
"Wait! Anong pangalan mo?" you asked breathlessly, following them as they speedily flew out of the room. "Grabe, slow down! I'm not athletic! I haven't even exercised this week, goodness."
"... Gabay. Ako si Gabay."
Despite the adrenaline and fear running in your veins, you still grinned up at the ball of light, "Okay. Nice to meet you, Gabay."
This was just the beginning of your supernatural combat training abroad. When you returned to the Philippines three years later, you were stronger, faster, and more powerful than you'd ever felt before. It was crazy.
Oh, that guy who tried to rob you when you came back to Manila was crazy, too. The two identical-looking men in dark suits and white ties—you wondered how they were surviving the heat in that attire—could only watch in awe as you chased down that man who stole your bag while doing acrobatics and parkour.
"Uy, Kuya Crispin, sino kaya 'yun?"
"Ewan ko, Basilio."
"... She's kind of pretty. Type ko. Type mo rin ata."
"The more important question is, paano niya na nahuli ang magnanakaw?"
"Oo nga, no? One in a million chance 'yan dito sa Maynila, haha! Ang astig ni ate!"

± Author's Notes ±
Ayieee, type daw tayo ng kambal! 😌
How the hell did I write this entirely random thing in one day? 2k+ words? Ano daw? 😃⁉️
You know, this was supposed to just be a Trese one-shot or a bunch of drabbles for the characters I'm currently simping for... but it turned into a full-blown, shameless self-insert slash crackfic. Kakacellphone ko 'yan. 🤦♀️
Nagresearch pa ako ng articles about Filipino skymaidens because I wanted something similiar to the Japanese celestial maidens (tennyo). Very random idea but why not? Gusto ko ng badass Y/N na hindi takot lumaban sa mga mumu! 👻
Also, pagbigyan niyo nalang ang matandang 'to kasi ilang taon na akong hindi nagpopost ng mga writings ko. May track record pa naman ako bilang author na hindi nagtatapos ng mga fanfic, hehe. I also haven't read the comics so please forgive me for any inaccuracies and of course, misspellings/errors. Gusto ko lang matapos 'to para makakabalik na ako sa Jujutsu Kaisen. 🥲😗
Anyways, comments and constructive criticism are welcome! Hit those heart, reblog, and follow buttons for updates! Just comment if you want to be tagged in the next chapters. ❤

Green Thumb
Part 8
Request: Yes or No
Sam and y/n had more development than y/n and Wanda lmao
~
You crossed your arms as you entered the room, glancing at the older man. You shared a look with Sam and Wanda, taking a seat in between Sam and Vision. You licked your lips, leaning towards Sam.
"What's this about?" You asked quietly, gaze flickering to Tony who sat in a corner.
"If I had to guess.. Probably about what happened in Lagos." Sam replied, glancing at Steve and Natasha. You frowned, looking at the Secretary of State.
"The world owes the Avengers an unpayable debt." He began, gaze sweeping over everyone in the room.
"You have.. Fought for us, protected us, risked your lives but while a great many people see you as heroes, there are some who would prefer the term 'vigilantes.'"
"And what word would you use, Mr. Secretary?" Natasha asked, studying the older man. You looked back at Tony Stark, making brief eye contact with him. It felt like an intervention. Or a teacher scolding their class after they made the sub cry.
"How about dangerous?" You frowned, looking forward when you heard his words.
"What would you call a group of US based enhanced individuals who routinely ignore borders and inflict their will wherever they choose and who, quite frankly, seem unconcerned about what they leave behind?" Mr. Secretary asked, looking over the small group in disappointed. You'd hate to admit it, but he had a point. The citizens of Sokovia were left to find new homes and the people of Lagos had to fix what had been destroyed. Mr. Secretary stepped to the side, looking at the screen. Videos began playing of all the times the Avengers caused destruction and most likely death. Wanda looked away, growing uncomfortable as the aftermath of the Lagos incident played. She already felt guilty enough about it. She had told you many times how she wished it would've gone differently. Steve noticed, frown deepening.
"That's enough." He called, watching the screen turn off.
"For the last few years, you've operated with unlimited power and no supervision. That's a decision the governments of the world can no longer tolerate." Mr. Secretary told them, hands clasped behind his back. You frowned, brows furrowing slightly.
"But we have a solution." Mr. Secretary took a book from his bodyguard, stepping forward and handing it to Wanda. Wanda picked it up, looking it over.
"The Sokovia Accords.. Approved by a hundred and seventeen countries." Wanda slid the book over to Rhodes so he could take a proper look at it. You looked at Mr. Secretary as he walked around the table.
"It states that the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization. Instead, they'll operate under the supervision of The United Nations Panel, only when and if that panel deems it necessary."
"That's such bullshit." You whispered. Mr. Secretary turned towards you, cocking a brow. Natasha let an amused smile slip while Sam covered up his snicker with a cough.
"The Avengers were created to make the world a safer place." Steve spoke up before he could address you.
"This is the middle ground." Mr. Secretary said, walking to the front again and facing everyone.
"The Accords will be ratified in a couple days." Steve turned towards Tony, earning a silent response.
"I'll leave you to discuss."
"And if we come to a decision you don't like?" Leave it to Natasha to say what was on everyones' minds. Mr. Secretary paused as he approached the door.
"Then you retire." He answered plainly. You watched him leave, picking up the cup of water infront of You You went to take a sip but it turned to ice before you could drink from it. With a small huff, you placed it down.
"That's new." Natasha called with a small smile, hoping to ease the tension in the room. You stood up, leaving the meeting room and heading to the lounge. The others followed, taking more comfortable seats on the couch. A debate quickly started between Rhodes and Sam while Steve looked through the Accords.
"Have you two thought about starting a debate club?" You asked, tapping the frozen water a few times before it finally turned back to normal water. Natasha let out a small snort, chuckling as she shook her head.
"I have an equation." Vision announced, stopping Rhodes and Sam. They turned towards him.
"In the eight years since Mr. Stark announced himself as Iron Man, the number of enhanced people has grown and during the same period, the number of world ending events has risen."
"So, it's Starks' fault?" You asked, leaning back in your seat with a tilted head. Tony scoffed from his spot on the couch, rolling his eyes.
"I'm saying, there might be a causality. Our very strength invites challenge, challenge insights conflict, and conflict... Breeds catastrophe. Oversight is not an idea that should be dismissed."
"I wish I understood half of what you said." You muttered softly, running your finger the leaf of a plant beside the seat. Natasha turned towards Tony, watching him.
"You're being uncharacteristic non-hyper verbal." Natasha pointed out softly as he looked at her with a deep sigh. Steve looked up from the Accords.
"It's cause he already made up his mind." Steve said, earning a small eye roll. Tony slowly sat up, rubbing the back of his head.
"Actually, I'm nursing a headache." He muttered as he stood up, walking towards the coffee machine. He poured himself some coffee and grabbed a bottle of pills before sighing and placing down a device. He showed an image of a young man.
"Oh, that's Charles Spencer, by the way. A great kid. Computer engineering degree, 3.6 GPA, had a floor level gig for the fall. He decided to spend his summer building sustainable housing for the people in Sokovia." Tony said, obviously agitated as he looked over everyone. You wondered why he now cared for the people who were injured during attacks.
"He wanted to make a difference although we'll never know cause we dropped a building on him while kicking ass." Everyone stayed silent as he spoke. You watched him take a pill, drinking it with the coffee.
"There's no decision making here. We need to be put in check. Whatever form that takes, I'm game. If we can't accept limitations, we're no better than the bad guys."
"Tony, when someone dies on your watch, you don't give up." Steve closed the Accords, looking at Tony with a frown.
"Who says we're giving up?"
"We are by not taking responsibilities for our actions. This document shifts the blame." Steve voiced his opinion, shrugging lightly.
"Steve, that is dangerously arrogant." Rhodes spoke up, shaking his head. Steve turned towards him.
"This is the United Nations we're talking about. It's not the world security counsel, it's not S.H.I.E.L.D, it's not HYDRA-"
"But it's run by people with agendas and agendas change." Steve pointed out as you rubbed your forehead, sighing softly. Both sides had good points but you sided with Steve. The team was obviously divided.
"What do you think, (Y/N)?" Vision asked, looking at you curiously. You licked your lips, gaze focusing on Tony.
"I'm curious as to why you care so much about this Charles guy. You've had, what was it? Eight years as Iron Man to care about the people who get hurt? Why now? Cause you realized one of those people could become the new you? Would you care this much about Charles if he had been a typical guy? No degree, no plans for the future, just a normal guy working a normal 9 to 5 job and just trying to make it through the week. I agree with Steve. What if something happens and they don't send us to help because it doesn't go with their agenda? People get hurt cause you've never set up a system to help after these things happen. You're a fucking billionaire, Tony. Make a company that's designed to help people get back on their feet after the Avengers bulldoze through cities." You said, legs crossing as you looked over everyone else. Steve gave a small nod, glad you were seeing his side. He checked his phone, abruptly standing and announcing he had to leave. You and the others watched him go in confusion.
"To answer your questions, I do care about normal people." Tony said, arms crossing. You let out a soft groan, leaning back in the couch.
"I'm sorry, what are you? Twelve? Didn't you turn twenty this year?" Tony cocked a brow, watching as you rolled your eyes and stood.
"Yeah, I did turn twenty. Surprised you knew considering you've never particularly liked me."
"Well, first impressions are everything and you did try impaling me with a branch."
"Maybe I should've."
"Alright, boys, let's calm down." Natasha called, placing a hand on your shoulder. You turned and walked towards the steps, heading down to your room at the facility. You entered and plopped down on the bed, running a hand through your hair. You tapped your foot on the ground, fingers going to the root bracelets in an attempt to relax. Wanda opened the door, closing it behind her and sitting beside you.
"What's wrong?" She asked softly, staring at you in concern. You weren't one to snap at others so quickly.
"There's so much going on. The Accords, my fucking powers, the sudden change in Nat and Tony, you possibly getting into trouble cause of the Lagos incident.. That could've been me." You breathed out. Wanda frowned, brows furrowing.
"No, it wouldn't have."
"I shot fire out of my hands and turned water to ice without meaning to. They're getting unpredictable." You looked at her, grip on the roots tightening. Wanda's gaze flickered to the window, making you turn. Part of the window was covered in a thin layer of ice.
"And that just proved my point."
"You're an incredible person, (N/N). Have faith in yourself. You'll gain control of them sooner or later. You have beautiful powers that could change and heal the world." Wanda pointed out gently, having you rest your head on her shoulder. She softly began to hum a lullaby. You didn't understand the words but her soft voice proved to be soothing.
"Thank you."
~~~~~~~~~~
"Why'd you call me again?" You asked, toying with the strings of your hoodie as you looked around the cafe. You had planned on taking a nap and watching a new show on Netflix but it seemed like Steve had other plans for you.
"Because I trust you and need your help." Steve replied, fixing his baseball cap as he tried avoiding eye contact with civilians.
"Really?" You asked softly. Steve nodded, offering a smile. He licked his lips, nodding to the tv. You turned, looking at the news. You really didn't have to considering what they were showing was right down the street.
"Your friend?" You looked back at Steve with a tilted head.
"We gotta find him before anyone else does." Steve said. You nodded, watching him. Steve had been desperately trying to find his friend, Bucky, since the attempt on Furys' life.
"I'll go in alone. We don't want to seem threatening or set him off by going in as a trio."
"(Y/N)? Being threatening? He can't even scare a baby!" Sam said in amusement, shooting you a playful grin.
"Right back at you, bird boy."
"I'm sorry, who here is named after the top bird of prey?" Sam asked, leaning forward slightly as Steve let out an amused sigh.
"Oh, I didn't know you were named after eagles." You responded, smiling in triumph when Sam huffed lightly.
"Come on, you two." Steve chuckled, leaving the cafe and heading down the sidewalk.
"I don't trust Stark." You told them, arms crossing. Sam glanced at you as Steve turned into an alleyway.
"Not surprised considering the little fight you two had."
"I think he had Vis keep an eye on me and Wanda. I snuck out while he was with Wanda in the kitchen." You told him, frowning.
"Firstly, I'm an adult-"
"That's questionable."
"-And secondly, he's not my dad." You took off the hoodie as Steve unlocked a car parked in the alleyway, giving Sam the duffle bag with his outfit. You looked at your phone when it buzzed, seeing texts from Clint.
Clint
Heard you had a fight with Stark
Clint
You're officially an Avenger now
You smiled softly, chuckling softly at the texts. You waited for the guys to finish changing before taking the earpiece from Steve. The apartment building had been nearby so you and Sam headed onto the roof while Steve entered.
"How well do you think this will go?" You asked Sam, looking for any sign of law enforcement.
"Wanna bet?"
"How much?" You looked at him, giving a small grin. Sam looked up at the sky for a moment, thinking it over.
"30 bucks. I bet this will go to shit and this dude will escape."
"I bet we'll get into serious shit but this dude will either come with us or get caught." You replied. Sam stuck out his hand, nodding. You shook it, chuckling softly. You turned your head, noticing movement.
"We've got company, Cap."
"They're approaching from the south." Sam added, attention focused on them. You heard Steve begin to talk to someone, watching the cars pull in and get ready. You turned your head, hearing the door to the roof open.
"Shit." You whispered, letting Sam pick you up and lift you into the air. You could hear the fight going on inside through the earpiece.
"Should we help?" You asked, glancing up at Sam.
"No clue." Sam replied, watching Bucky jump from the apartment onto the roof of another building. You noticed someone running at a high speed, jumping up onto the roof and knocking Bucky down.
"They have cat ears." You mumbled, pushing Sam's arms away.
"Deal with them." You motioned to the German police force on the roof, hoping down onto the roof. You raised your hand, a root shooting out and grabbing the strangers arm, refraining them from clawing at Bucky. Bucky turned his head, making eye contact with you. Your eyes widened when the man grabbed the root, using what felt like super strength to toss you off the roof. You quickly used a root to grab onto the side, breathing out a sigh of relief. Sam took care of a helicopter before flying by to grab you.
"Thanks." You breathed out, holding onto him as he followed the chase. Steve, Bucky, and the cat guy went into one of the tunnels. Sam flew in once there was an opening, trying to help Steve with the cat guy. You huffed when the cat guy grabbed Sam's ankle, pointing your hand at him and shooting a strong gust of air. The cat guy lost his grip monetarily but quickly grabbed on again. Bucky threw up an explosive so Sam quickly stopped, flinging the guy off him. Sam landed, walking past the rubble. You sighed, raising your hands as you and Sam were quickly surrounded by cops.
"Mom's gonna kill me." You whispered.
"That's what you're concerned about?" Sam asked, glancing at you in disbelief.
"We're getting arrested, (Y/N)!"
